Sir,
The Supreme Court, Hongkong 14th February, 1881.
I have the honour to acquaint His Excellency the Governor to read the report in the "China Mail" of yesterday evening of the adjournment for a second time of the hearing of a case which had been specially set down for hearing on Friday last and adjourned to yesterday, the adjournments owing to the inability of the Court to obtain the services of one of the two Straits Interpreters at the Supreme Court. It was thought necessary to set apart a day for the necessary hearing.
